GLIMMERKUGEL
Describing the feeling of spending time with people who make you happy by just being in their presence.
I made a series of seven shirts and gave them out to my personal glimmerkugels, all with their individual, representative glimmerkugel creature up front.
I used either bleach, layered up to four times to achieve different gradients, or textile colour.
I cut out the design by using a MIMAKI cutter, then used either the letters or the negative from them as a stencil. Every letter had to be brushed in by hand; otherwise, the bleach or colour would have smeared.
I improvised each glimmerkugel creature in the front, after deciding which of my friends it should belong to.
The text on the back says: 'Glimmerkugel: Someone who radiates a positive, felicitous and, most of all, contagious energy, so much so,
that it makes a person spending time in their presence feel the same way.'
And on the arm: 'Happens mostly when this person found their happy place. They know who they are and what they want.
Every decision they make is in harmony with those goals. During those periods of inner peace,
those people are for the lost ones like the moon is to the ocean. Irresistible Gravity.'
