APOLLO CULTURAL HOUSE
It was here that I caught a glimpse of a world that I hope will become my home.
From live concerts and book readings to dance parties and vernissages, the centre showcases pretty much every kind of culture.
I worked behind the bar as well as in the office. My responsibilities included managing our entire social media presence. Planning, creating and posting our content, interacting with followers, updating our website with event information, creating the Newsletter two times a month, designing posters, flyers and postcards, writing promotional content and assisting with management, communication and hosting duties. I learned to love every aspect of it.
As a shift manager behind the bar, I was close to everything that happened and could post stories and Reels in real time. I soon became involved in pretty much every aspect, from planning and setting up entire concerts, to printing posters and hang them up last minute because the courier striked again.
To get to do all of this with the intention of promoting and spreading culture all left a lasting impression on me, and I very much hope this won't be my last involvement in this industry.
